Entries open for Gran Fondo Alberto Contador
Entries have opened for this year’s edition of Gran Fondo Alberto Contador.
Taking place on Saturday 19 September 2026, the Gran Fondo is named after recently retired Spanish cycling champion Alberto Contador – one of only seven riders to have won all three Grand Tours.

The event is based in Oliva, Valencia and challenges riders with a 138km route taking in 2400m of elevation. There are three major climbs on the clockwise loop: the Coll de Rates, Coll de sa Creueta, and the Coll Port d’Ebo.
Oliva’s location on the northernmost tip of the Costa Blanca, with Valencia to the north and Calpe and Benidorm to the south, makes it an ideal location not only as a cycling destination but for anyone seeking golden sandy beaches and a charming historic town.
Early-bird entries are now on sale priced €64.99 which includes the official event jersey. From April 1, prices will rise in stages to €79.99 until entries close on September 18, the day before the event.
