3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross 2027
26 September, 2027 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

The 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross race is the UK’s premier cyclocross race – and undoubtedly the toughest.
Held at the end of September each year, the race sees riders tackle three climbs in the Yorkshire Dales: Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent. The race route is split between road and unpaved terrain, with approximately 4-6km of the course unrideable including some steep open mountain hike a bike.

Strict rules are in place regarding bike and tyre choice: flat bars and MTBs are not allowed, and the max tyre width is 38mm (although tyres labelled 40-620 are permitted).
The race attracts a wide range of cyclists including elite domestic and international riders alongside keen amateurs. The 2026 edition was won by Lachlan Morton in the men’s race while Isla Short set a new course record in the women’s race.
Riders should expect to take anything from three to 6+ hours to complete the course. Certificates will be awarded to competitors completing the course in the following times: Elite Class under 3 hours 30mins, 1st Class under 4 hours, 2nd Class under 5 hours, Merit all other finishers.
The 63rd edition will take place on 26 September 2027. Entries will open on 1 June 2027.
