Black Rat Cyclosportive

The Black Rat is a cyclosportive in Bristol and it is one of the most popular sportives in the southwest.

Our 2026 event date is Sunday 17th May.

We have designed two new routes for 2026, for the Granfondo and Mediofondo events.

Both rides will start at the Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden and follow routes around Monmouthshire and up the Wye Valley. 

All riders will experience some of the fabulous roads and scenery of the Wye Valley and Monmouthshire, with Granfondo riders also tackling some of the spectacular climbs on the Forest of Dean side of the Wye Valley.

Both rides include wonderful views of the river and take place on mainly, quiet country lanes.
