Dartmoor Classic 2026

The Dartmoor Classic Sportive is an annual cycle ride, organised and run by Mid-Devon Cycling Club. 

Established in 2007, the Dartmoor Classic aims to bring a pro tour cycling experience to the amateur cycling community. The event is registered with British Cycling, the sport’s governing body and with a sell-out field of 4,000 riders is widely recognised as one of the most prestigious open-road Sportive’s in the UK, attracting cyclists from around the world!

‍There are three route options to choose from; the Piccolo which is 45 miles, the Medio which is 66.6 miles or the Grande which is 107 miles.

All routes include Gold, Silver & Bronze medal standards using age and gender categories. You will receive a finishers medal if you are outside the Gold, Silver or Bronze times.

All routes include a Closed Road Hill Climb Competition segment with prizes.

Cycle Dartmoor’s open roads across beautiful countryside with spectacular views. Our routes are planned to take on famous climbs such as Haytor which has been included in the Tour of Britain. 

Plus, being located in Devon, such a beautiful destination, there’s always somewhere to stay if this cycle event isn’t near you.

‍When riding the Dartmoor Classic you’ll be taken care of all the way from free parking at the start, happy marshals en-route, plenty of food included at the feed stations, rider mechanical support and if your legs just can’t make it, we’ll get you back to the finish in our rider support bus.
