Dirty Reiver 2027
23 April, 2027 @ 12:00 pm – 25 April, 2027 @ 10:00 pm

The Dirty Reiver is an off-road cycling challenge based on the Gravel Grinder format found predominantly in the mid west of America.
Now established as the UK’s biggest one-day gravel event, 2027 will see the 11th edition of the Dirty Reiver take place on Saturday 24 April.
Alongside the traditional three routes options, 2027 sees the launch of a new 280km Dirty Reiver Epic. Entries are limited to 100 pairs, with riders setting off before dawn for a cross-border raid into Scotland before joining the main pack on the 200km distance.
Entries for Dirty Reiver 2027 open on 1 September 2026. Last year’s entries sold out within 24 hours – sign up to our free email alerts to be notified when entries open for future editions.
About Dirty Reiver
The ride takes place in Kielder Forest. Riders will traverse gravel forest access roads that service the vast areas of forest covering the border region of England and Scotland. The events will take riders through remote areas providing outstanding viewpoints across this spectacular part of the UK.
Due to the shared use of some of the course the Dirty Reiver events are NOT races. However, finishing times will be graded and these grades are detailed in finishing times on the event page.
The event is based at the Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre, Kielder, Hexham, Northumberland NE48 1ER.
Event HQ will open at noon on Friday 23 April with overnight camping available.
This is a challenge not a race. Riders can choose from the Dirty Reiver Epic (280km), Dirty Reiver (200km), the Dirty One Thirty (130km) or the Dirty Sixty Fiver (65km) distance events.
