The Mendip Murmuration is a gathering of like-minded individuals coming together with a common purpose.
Riding your bike through some of Somerset’s stunning landscapes. Cruising and carving over and around Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak, Black Down and Rowberrow Warren will make for an amazing 26.5 mile route that will leave you wanting more.
Limestone rock gardens, flowing single tracks, wide open hill top trails with stunning views and cracking forest trails show you the best the Mendips has to offer.
The Mendip Murmuration is now firmly cemented as one of our three Somerset based off-road cycling events now known as “The Triple’. Over the last eight years we have developed a fantastic working relationship with The National Trust, The Mendip Hills National Landscape Service, Warren Farm and the various landowners to make this great mountain biking event part of the ‘Top of the Gorge’ Adventure Weekend’, a real celebration of outdoor adventure in the Mendip Hills as part of an organised Adventure Weekend.
A variety of running and cycling challenges are already part of the plan with more activity options to follow, and our collective aim is to offer people a range of fun and enjoyable events – which obviously includes the Mendip Murmuration. Love the Quake, the Explorer and the Murmuration?? Then we have just the answer! Enter all three of our Somerset based off-road cycling events in The Triple! The Triple is for those few who believe they’ve got what it takes to complete all three events in 2026 and will become part of our Elite Triple Club!
‘The Triple’ 2026 includes entries into:
- The Mendip Murmuration – Saturday 13th June 2026
- The Exmoor Explorer – Sunday 12th July 2026
- The Quantock Quake – Saturday 5th September 2026

Committing to The Triple will guarantee your entry into all 3 events in 2026. The Quantock Quake is strictly limited to 300 riders and does sell out, so enter now to avoid disappointment. Once one of these three individual events sell out, The Triple will be out of reach until 2027.
