23 May @ 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Ring of Beara Cycle is one of the most popular cycling events in Ireland. Choose between challenging 85km, 110km or 140km routes which take in the magnificent mountains, valleys and the rugged coastline of the Beara Peninsula in the far southwest of Ireland.
Route information – 85km
Starting and finishing in Kenmare, this brand-new 85km route is designed for cyclists who want a challenge that’s as rewarding as it is achievable. Riders roll out along the stunning coastal road, passing the legendary Helen’s Bar before tackling the first climb — the iconic Healy Pass. From there, it’s a sweeping descent into Adrigole and on to Glengarriff for a well-earned food stop. Refreshed and ready, the route takes on the final climb over the Caha Pass, before cruising back into Kenmare.Â
Route information – 110km
Starting and finishing in Kenmare, the 110 km route is the classic Ring of Beara experience — a spectacular loop that of the peninsula. Cyclists roll out along the coast road, passing through the villages of Ardgroom and colourful Eyeries. Â
After the first food stop in Castletownbere, the route heads on toward Glengarriff. On the way you will be treated to spectacular views of Bantry Bay. From Glengarriff, it’s a smooth run over the Caha Pass and back into Kenmare to finish.Â
Route information – 140km

Riders head west from Kenmare along the coast, passing through Ardgroom and Eyeries before turning toward the breathtaking Allihies, where the first food stop awaits. From there, the route continues to the fishing town of Castletownbere and on through Glengarriff, before tackling the final climb over the Caha Pass and rolling back into Kenmare.
