DESCRIPTION:Pedal series is organised by Parkinson’s UK as a series of exciting cycling events across the country. With stunning scenery from rivers and valleys to dramatic climbs\, pedal with us for an unforgettable experience on two wheels. \n\n\n\nThree distance options are on offer: Bronze (27 miles)\, Silver (55 miles) and Gold (100 miles). \n\n\n\nBronze is our gentlest route. It follows the dramatic Causeway Coast overlooking Whitepark Bay and passing the ruins of Dunseverick Castle\, before finishing back at Ballycastle. \n\n\n\nAt 55 miles the Silver is our intermediate route. After following stunning coastal roads\, you’ll be tackling some challenging climbs in the Glens of Antrim and a final descent through Ballypatrick Forest. \n\n\n\nReady for a serious challenge? Pedal through three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in our 100 mile route. Follow the Causeway Coast to Binevenagh and take on a true test of endurance with tough climbs through Antrim Coast’s rolling hills. \n\n\n\nThe ride start/finish is at Sheskburn Recreation Centre\, Ballycastle. \n\n\n\nThere is free parking around Ballycastle. \n\n\n\nAll participants will receive: \n\n\n\n\nFully signposted route for each distance option\n\n\n\nFirst aid and mechanical support on the course\n\n\n\nFrequent checkpoints with refreshments and snacks\, plus a lunch stop for 55 and 100 mile riders\n\n\n\nFree sports massage at the finish line\n\n\n\nBespoke finisher’s medal\n\n\n\nPhotography\n\n\n\nChip timing\n\n\n\n\nWhere do your donations go?\n\n\n\nWe’re here to support every Parkinson’s journey\, every step of the way. \n\n\n\nFrom searching for a cure and campaigning for better health and care\, to funding research into groundbreaking new treatments and running life-changing support services. With stunning scenery from rivers and valleys to dramatic climbs\, pedal with us for an unforgettable experience on two wheels. \n\n\n\nThree distance options are on offer: Bronze (25 miles)\, Silver (50 miles) and Gold (100 miles). \n\n\n\nBronze (25 miles) is our gentlest route. It is ideal for newer cyclists or anyone looking to enjoy a bike ride in the stunning Scottish countryside. \n\n\n\nAt 50 miles\, the Silver is our intermediate route. The route explores Flanders Moss\, passing the Lake of Menteith into Fintry before ascending to the Carron Valley Reservoir. \n\n\n\nReady for a serious challenge? The Gold is our most demanding route. Over 100 miles you’ll discover steep climbs and fast descents\, taking on the Duke’s Pass\, the infamous Crow Road\, and the steep climb out of Lennoxtown. \n\n\n\nThe ride start/finish is at Stirling High School (TBC). With stunning scenery from rivers and valleys to dramatic climbs\, pedal with us for an unforgettable experience on two wheels. \n\n\n\nThree distance options are on offer: Bronze (25 miles)\, Silver (57 miles) and Gold (82 miles). \n\n\n\nBronze (25 miles) is our gentlest route\, and takes you along the beautiful River Wye. You’ll pass the iconic Tintern Abbey and explore Hale Woods and Chepstow Woods before finishing back in Chepstow. \n\n\n\nThe Silver (57 miles) is our intermediate route. You’ll ride through stunning scenery out to Coleford\, Monmouth and up Golden Hill. You’ll pass through Llandogo\, with views from Whitestone and Cledding and cycle along the River Wye. \n\n\n\nAt 82 miles\, the Gold is our most demanding route. Challenge yourself with a scenic route through the Forest of Dean\, climbing Symonds Yat\, Harrow Hill\, Coppett Hill and Huntsham Hill. \n\n\n\nThe ride start/finish is at Chepstow Racecourse with free parking on site. \n\n\n\nAll participants will receive: \n\n\n\n\nFully signposted route for each distance option\n\n\n\nFirst aid and mechanical support on the course\n\n\n\nFrequent checkpoints with refreshments and snacks\, plus a lunch stop for 57 and 82 mile riders\n\n\n\nFree sports massage at the finish line\n\n\n\nBespoke finisher’s medal\n\n\n\nPhotography\n\n\n\nChip timing\n\n\n\n\nWhere do your donations go?\n\n\n\nWe’re here to support every Parkinson’s journey\, every step of the way. \n\n\n\nFrom searching for a cure and campaigning for better health and care\, to funding research into groundbreaking new treatments and running life-changing support services.
