Entries open for Tour de Ricky 2026
Entries open Christmas Eve for the fourth Tour de Ricky: the annual audax-style ride from West London Cycling club.
Based near Rickmansworth in Maple Cross, Hertfordshire, the event’s name is a tongue-in-cheek dig by founder Liam Fitzpatrick at famous races that don’t actually start where their name suggests (eg Paris-Roubaix).
Now run by West London Cycling, a free to join community club, the Tour de Ricky regularly sells out. The next edition is set for 30 May 2026, with entrants taking their pick from three distances: 200km, 100km and 50km.
Event HQ is at Woodoaks Farm, an eco farm which has been featured on TV. It also boasts a great ‘Tea Shack’ for coffee and cake at the start and a craft brewery in case you are thirsty at the end.
The farm will have stalls and activities during the day to keep the non-cyclists amused. Entry includes:
- Free online training ride around Rickmansworth (yes, the actual Ricky itself!)
- A finisher’s Roundel (Cloth Patch)
- Souvenir Brevet Card
- Route GPX files
- Downloadable Routesheet if required
- Riders’ Raffle (Prizes from Rouleur, Biketerra, Newlane, Specialized Ruislip and more)
- Free Training Plans from TriSmooth

The Tour de Ricky is run as a fun, community event in audax style, with riders filling out a Brevet Card and getting it stamped along the route.
The final route reveal and GPX files provided a week before the event but the routes go north-westwards into the Chilterns, with moderate climbing.
The 2025 edition sold out in just three weeks, and the organisers are expecting another bumper turnout with tickets priced at a very reasonable £17, or £25 including event cap.
Entries go on sale at 7am on 24 December – that’s Christmas Eve, in case you didn’t know – so set your alarm and get an early date in the diary!
