GRVL launches first women’s gravel cycling collection
GRVL Apparel has unveiled its first-ever women’s collection, hailing it as a “major milestone” for the brand and a significant step forward in sustainable performance cycling apparel.
Designed specifically for women gravel riders, the collection combines technical performance, tailored women’s-specific fit, and responsible material innovation without compromise. GRVL say the range has been designed “from the ground up” rather than adapted from their existing men’s products.
The launch includes three key pieces: the CORE Jersey, the ADVNTR Jersey, and the Cargo Bib Shorts, each engineered for long-distance comfort, durability, and riding across mixed terrain and changing conditions.
Central to the collection is GRVL’s bespoke OEKO-TEX certified recycled and biodegradable fabric blend. Developed using advanced sustainable polymer yarns, the materials are designed to accelerate biodegradation in controlled landfill conditions, reducing decomposition time from what is typically more than 250 years for synthetic cycling garments to fewer than four years.
It’s nice to know your kit won’t be stinking out the planet for centuries after you’re gone – but in the meantime, it’s got to perform: and GRVL say performance remained the priority throughout development.
“The collection has been extensively tested to deliver the breathability, durability, moisture management, and comfort required for serious gravel riding,” say GRVL. “Lightweight aero fits, laser-cut hems, reflective detailing, UV protection, and fast-wicking fabrics feature throughout the range.”
The ADVNTR Jersey introduces a ventilated rear panel for improved airflow during warm-weather riding, while the Cargo Bib Shorts feature a women’s-specific Elastic Interface long-distance gravel chamois, integrated cargo storage, and a halter-neck bib system designed to simplify comfort breaks without requiring riders to remove jerseys or outer layers.
Manufactured in Portugal through one of the world’s leading technical sportswear facilities, the collection is produced using renewable energy alongside certified sustainable manufacturing processes, reinforcing GRVL’s commitment to ethical production and environmental responsibility.
Built for adventure, durability, and long-term use, the women’s collection represents the next step in GRVL’s mission to create premium gravel apparel with less environmental impact and more purpose behind every product.
We’re hoping to get the kit in for testing sometime over the next 250 years if not sooner. In the meantime, you can check out the new women’s collection at GRVL.cc.
