Dirty Reiver 2027 entries vanish in a cloud of dust

The Dirty Reiver has cemented its status as the UK’s most sought after gravel event, with entries for the 2027 edition once again selling out with hours of going on sale. Places for all three standard distances, 65km, 130km and 200km, were all claimed on launch day, with organisers Focal Events set for another bumper edition in April 2027.

The rapid sell out is becoming a trend for Focal and the team’s opening event of the season, Dirty Reiver, following two previous years of entries filling up within the same day as registrations opening.

This year, Focal Events added a new ultra-distance format, the Epic, covering 280km as a pair whilst also integrating into the main 200km rider field to ensure the atmosphere enjoyed by all riders stays true to what Dirty Reiver is so well known for.

“After the past few years, we know the anticipation for entries opening is there, and the number of riders who had registered to hear first when entries opened reaffirmed the interest again this year,” explained co-event director Bryan Singleton.

“The appreciation for our new Epic distance at Dirty Reiver was also great to see, with the limited numbers we’re restricting the inaugural event to being reached within just days of opening. Now we can focus on building the event next April to go better than we did this year, accommodating our new format and ensuring everyone gets the best Dirty Reiver experience possible.”

The Dirty Reiver presented by GravelKing attracts over 2,000 riders each year across its collection of distances. The event kicks off Focal Events’ calendar of gravel and all-road rides which also features the SCOTT Frontier 300 – a coast-to-coast, 300km adventure each June; the Dalby Grit – Focal’s gravel race attracting a number of the nations best riders in the discipline each July; and SCOTT Gravel Rocks – a weekend celebration of all things gravel, including social riding and timed race segments, alongside trail running and plenty more to enjoy in July.

All Focal’s events feature the same high level of professionalism and attention to detail, with founders Singleton and Neil Atkinson meticulously ensuring that rider experience remains at the centre of all they do.
