Entries for the 2019 edition of Mallorca 312 have sold out just seven days after opening. The early season epic takes place on 27 April 2019, but if you haven't yet booked a place you'll need to go via a tour operator - or act fast to snap up one of 50 charity places.
Registration for the 10th edition of the Mallorca 312-Giant-Taiwan opened last week and all 8000 places have now gone in record time. However, the organisers have released an extra 50 charitable entries. Priced €100, proceeds from these extra places will help people affected by the flooding in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and Artà in northeast Mallorca.
Packages including accommodation are still available from some tour operators:
- All Things Ride - £495pp including entry
- Sportive Breaks - 4 nights and entry £649
The organisers hailed the huge interest in next year's edition of the sportive, with event director Xisco Lliteras saying:
"Las year we sold all the inscriptions in 12 weeks and this year in only seven days. This confirms the great acceptance that our race has among the national and international athletes and consolidates our event as one of the best sportive offers in Europe.
"Nobody wants to miss the experience of riding in Mallorca inside a peloton leaded by important former pro cyclists and surrounded by the sportive ambience."
With excellent organisation, beautiful scenery and (usually) weather, and three routes of 312, 225 and 167 kilometres, it's no surprise that the Mallorca 312 is one of the most popular sportives of the European calendar.
