Dates have been announced for the next editions of Hell of the Ashdown and the Kentish Killer.

The two popular sportives by Flamme Rouge Events run on consecutive weekends in late February and early March, making for an ideal kick-start to your fitness.

The routes are not massively long given the time of year, topping out at 100km for Hell of the Ashdown (HOTA) and 112km for the Kentish Killer (KK) with short options also available.

But as veterans will confirm, both events pack in a selection of testing Kent and Sussex climbs, including Toys Hill and Kidds Hill (aka The Wall) on the HOTA, and Carter's Hill with gradients touching 25% on the Killer.

Despite - or because of - the severe challenge invoved, both rides sell out each year. Last year saw places disappear within 24 hours. So if you're one of those returning for another shot, or want to experience them for the first time, here are the dates for your diary.

The Hell of the Ashdown Sportive will take place on Sunday 23 February 2025 with registration opening up at 10am on Sunday 3 November (NB not Bonfire Night as in previous years).

The Kentish Killer sportive will take place on Sunday 2 March 2025 with registration opening up at 10am on Sunday 10 November.
