Rouvy gears up for indoor season with new routes and Zwift hardware compatibility
Rouvy, the real-world cycling training app, has launched a swathe of updates ahead of the coming indoor cycling season. New features include compatibility with TrainerRoad, allowing users to complete their structured workouts on ROUVY’s real routes, and compatibility with Zwift’s Cog and Click hardware.

Smart trainers with Zwift Cog and Click preinstalled now work seamlessly with Rouvy, bringing virtual shifting and control from the handlebars while making setup and switching between bikes simpler. Riders can use Zwift Ride – Zwift’s indoor training bike – as an always-ready indoor setup for Rouvy.
Rouvy was acquired by Zwift in April 2026. Indications so far are that both Zwift and Rouvy will continue to operate as separate platforms, with separate subscriptions – albeit with closer integration, as the new updates show.
Compatible hardware is also available through the new Rouvy eShop at eshop.rouvy.com. From 9 September, Rouvy will offer a Rouvy edition of the Zwift Ride bike, which includes a set of Rouvy stickers that riders can use to personalise their setup.
Meanwhile, TrainerRoad users can now complete their structured workouts on Rouvy’s real routes, combining focused training with roads and realistic gradients.
More Exotic Locations in Higher Definition

Central to Rouvy’s appeal has always been its realism, with users granted the ability to film and upload real-life roads or trails onto the platform to ride virtually.
The Rouvy library is set for significant expansion with a new collection of routes coming this autumn. From Moroccan desert tracks to the highest paved roads in the world from India, and the remote beauty of Patagonia, cyclists can experience it all from their home trainer this winter.
These routes will feature Rouvy’s new ‘Enhanced’ tag, denoting routes that have undergone an uplift thanks to significant visual improvements – bringing greater visual detail to the real-world riding experience indoors.
And, inspired by community feedback, Rouvy users can also now add routes to a Ride Later collection, helping you to create your own to-do list in the platform. This sits alongside the existing Favourites, routes that you’ve discovered and love to come back to.
Improved Community Experience
Riding indoors can be a solitary experience, but you don’t have to slog away on your own. Earlier this summer, Rouvy introduced Clubs, Communities and In-Ride Chat giving riders more ways to ride together, stay connected with their community and to share experience wherever they are.
The Rouvy community has already created 850 clubs and 130 communities over the past two months. And there’s more to come this autumn, with Club Challenges arriving to give the community new ways to ride together and push each other on.
“Cycling doesn’t stop when the outdoor season changes,” said Rouvy Co-Founder and CEO, Petr Samek.
“This season we’re making it easier for riders to stay connected to the roads, goals and people they ride for. From full Zwift hardware compatibility and training integrations, to new routes and ways of riding together. Everything we’re introducing has the same purpose – helping riders achieve their cycling goals and keep riding throughout the year.”
Marek-Martin Matyska, VP of Product, added: “This season we’ve focused on bringing riders closer together. New Clubs, Communities and In-Ride Chat mean riding indoors doesn’t have to feel like riding alone. You’re part of a real community, wherever you are.
“We want to keep giving riders reasons to ride: new places to explore, events to race, new goals to chase and pros to line up alongside. It all comes back to the same idea: staying connected to real cycling, all year round.”
