Ride AND WATCH the Tour de France: A once in a Le-Loop-lifetime chance
2027 will be a historic year in more ways than one for Le Loop – the event that offers cyclists a chance to ride every stage of the Tour de France.
For one year only, they’ve created a ’Tour of Tours’ – a 21-stage tour that celebrates the very best stages in Tour history, from as far back as 1939 right to the present day – and even a Tour des Femmes stage. We wrote all about it here.
But it doesn’t stop there. In 2027, their route will cross paths with the actual pro Tour de France race, giving you the unique opportunity to both ride Le Loop AND watch the Tour live … twice!
Stage 10 of the Tour coincides with Le Loop’s second rest day on Tuesday 13 July, and will be finishing just 7km from their hotel, meaning you can easily nip along to join the excitement of the stage finish in Sallanches. Then the next day (Wednesday 14th July), when you’ll be riding stage 17 of Le Loop, Stage 11 of the Tour crosses paths in Saint Ferréol. This means you get to combine one of Le Loop’s legendary feed stops with watching your cycling heroes ride through. Allez! Allez!
Le Loop has always captured the essence of what it is like to ride the Tour de France, riding one week ahead of the pro race, but until now, there’s never been an opportunity to combine this with watching the Tour live. The 2027 Le Loop ’Tour of Tours’ is that unique opportunity.
If this sounds like a dream come true, then check out their Grand Loop, Second Half and Alps Loop options which all cover these two stages. And if you sign up for the Mountains Week, you can see the Tour on your departure day (the 2nd rest day) before a late flight home.
You can find out more on the Le Loop website. Bon Courage!
