LONDON, UK - A new show dedicated to UK road cycling is set to debut in April at Sandown Park racecourse in Surrey. The Road Cycling Show will take place on the weekend of April 21 and 22.

The show is organised by IPC Media, the publishers of some of the UK's leading cycling magazines including Cycling Weekly, Cycling Active, Cycle Sport and Cycling Fitness. It marks a further move of the publisher into the events arena of cycling after they launched a Cycling Week Sportive last autumn.

IPC are working with TCR Shows Ltd, organisers of the Triathlon Show and the Running Show, and the show will be aimed at club cyclists, sportive riders and commutes who want to improve their riding or try new equipment before buying.

Keith Foster, Publishing Director for IPC Media's Cycling titles: "We're very pleased and excited to launch this show. With the huge growth in cycling in the UK, especially London, we feel the time is right to take this opportunity. Feedback from the industry has been very positive and we look forward to working with TCR and the cycling industry, in creating the best road cycling specific show in the UK."

David Townsend, TCR Shows Director, said: "Sandown Park is the ideal location for the Road Cycling Show as it's less than 30 minutes from Central London and literally on the doorstep of the Surrey Hills. It is on the route of both the Olympic Time Trial and Road Race so is firmly on the road cycling map. It has great facilities for exhibitors and public alike, as proven by our other shows at the venue, and we've got plenty of exciting features which promise to make this an excellent day out."

The new show may well be a response to the London Bike Show, which runs from 12 to 15 January, and has seen a remarkable level of interest from both exhibitors and cylists planning to attend the show.
