LONDON, UK - A new company called Peré Performance has launched a range of children's clothing specifically for cycling, running and triathlons. The company has a range of clothes for 5 to 12 year olds, an audience that is massively under-served currently.
Founders Jackie Prothero, who previously worked as a designer for Rapha, and Lynne Karp has aimed to create children's wear for cycling, running and triathlon with genuine performance features and technically designed for the smaller rider.
For the young cyclists there are eight items in the initial range, including cycling shorts, short and long sleeve cycling tops, winter tights, a winter jacket, a rain jacket as well as a fleece hoodie and a T-shirt. Each come in four different sizes: 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-10years old and 11-12 years old.
Jackie Prothero said: "We are really excited to be launching our specialist sports clothing range, its going to be great to see young athletes wearing clothing that is designed with performance, style and longevity in mind. We have worked in cycling clothing design and retail for a long time and it's so amazing to see young riders, runners and triathletes in our clothes."
The company is named after the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest member of the animal kingdom. In their short history they have sold their clothing at cycling and triathlon exhibitions and now have a Pere Performance website.
Sportive.com will shortly have reviews of the new Peré Performance range.
