Entries are now open for Hotchillee's iconic London-Paris cycle which takes place on 13-16 June 2024.

However the UK events company revealed that 2024 will be the last edition, citing Brexit among the factors for bringing down the curtain on their flagship event in its current format.

2024 will see the 20th edition of Hotchillee's London-Paris ride take place on 13-16 June.

With rolling road closures and full support along the 500km route, Hotchillee's London-Paris ride has established itself as a classic with over 10,000 cyclists completing the challenge over the past two decades.

Participants have raised over £2 million for charities and been joined by pros and celebrity riders including Tour de France winners, and national and international athletes from across the sporting world including Geoff Thomas, Magnus Bäckstedt, Lee Dixon, Nigel Mansell, Sarah Storey, Shaun Kelly, Stephen Roche, Will Carling and more.

Despite the event's success, Hotchillee say that a number of factors including the desire to "offer a more sustainable experience for their riders, the increasing challenge of closing roads and securing permissions for race sections, combined with the ever growing complications of Brexit", mean that the 20th anniversary edition will be the last in the current format.

"We, the organisers, crew and riders have enjoyed so many years of inspirational London-Paris experiences," said Hotchillee founder Sven Thiele.

"For two decades we've supported riders with rolling closed roads, mechanical, medical, lead car, motorbike outrider and logistical vehicle support. In recent years we've been making some small but significant changes as we move toward a greener future.

"We will use this as an opportunity to celebrate 20 years of a wonderful event in an exciting format that has allowed us to expand our global family far beyond what I dreamt of in the early days."

Entry to the final edition of Hotchillee's London-Paris ride is priced £1950 which includes three nights' hotel accommodation.

Places are expected to fill up fast, with two thirds of entries already sold during last month's pre-registration period.
