Entries are now open for Muck n' Fest 2025, one of the highlights of the UK gravel cycling calendar.
The Scottish gravel weekender returns on 2-4 May 2025, promising two days of music, camping, activities and of course some of the country's finest gravel cycling.
Muck n' Mac Fest takes in about 65% off-road trails and tracks ("muck") and the other 35% on the road ("mac", as in tarmac).
The weekend event takes an Enduro style format with timed stages throughout the route. In between, the clock stops giving riders a chance to catch their breath and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Scottish Borders.
"A gravel bike is the ultimate beast for the job, but any bike from the off-road family will do the trick," say organisers Outsider Events.
"We'd say a minimum of 40mm tyres to be safe - there are a few rocky stretches!"
Event HQ is Traquair House - Scotland's oldest inhabited house, which just happens to be conveniently located for the finest gravel trails of the Tweed Valley.
The Saturday and Sunday will each see a long option (75km) and short option (40km), with a 40km route for adaptive cycles also on offer.
While cycling takes centre stage, off the bike there's plenty to entertain with live music and talks, onsite catering (for that post-ride pizza fix), yoga and wellbeing sessions and family friendly activities.
Entries are open now, with a weekend pass including camping priced £132. Ride-only day passes for the Saturday and the Sunday are also on offer priced £64.
