The route for the 2025 Etape du Tour has been revealed at today's Tour de France course presentation.
2025 will also see the launch of the first L'Etape du Tour Femmes, a new event on Saturday 2 August.
The 33rd edition of the Étape du Tour will take place on 20 July 2025.
The course follows the route of Stage 19 of the 2025 Tour de France, starting in Albertville and finishing with the climb to La Plagne.
The 131km route takes in 4500 metres of elevation gain - similar to the 2024 edition. There are five major climbs on the route, with Cote d'Hery-sur-Ugine (1004m) serving as a warm-up for the Col des Saisies (13.7km; 1650m).
Riders will then catch breath on the descent into Beaufort, before a double-header of Col du Pre (1716m) and Cormet de Roselend.
Another long descent follows before tackling into the final climb, which is a long one: 19.1km at an average 7.2% leading to a summit finish at La Plagne (2052m).
Entries open 6 November at 4pm. Entries start at €159 for the basic package rising to €231 if you want an event jersey and medal.
The standard entry includes an atmospheric day's riding on the Etape's closed roads, with rider timing and mechanical support, and feed stations including a pasta party at the finish.
