A new Etape du Tour Femmes sportive has been announced today at the presentation of the 2025 Tour de France.
Set to take place on 2 August 2025, L'Etape du Tour de France Femmes will offer cycling fans a chance to ride a stage of the Tour de France Femmes - the 9-stage women's edition of the Tour de France.
Two routes are available, starting in Chambéry and finishing with an ascent of the Col de la Madeleine at Saint-François-Longchamp.
The event will run on closed roads, like L'Etape du Tour, and will offer riders a choice of two routes: a copy of the pros' stage, with 112km and 3490m of elevation gain, and a lighter but just as challenging, 100km with 2590m of climbing.
The new event offers an alternative to L'Etape du Tour, details of which were also revealed today. Or you could ride both? The entry website lists an option for "My Double Le Tour" at €268, which we suspect may be a package deal combinging entry to both L'Etape du Tour and L'Etape Femmes.
Entries for L'Etape du Tour Femmes open on 20 November. In the meantime, pre-register at the event website to take advantage of previews and special offers.
