Entries are now open for Gravel Rocks 2025, taking place on 11-13th July.
Brought to you by Focal Events, this multi-day, enduro-style gravel race with a festival atmosphere is set in the exclusive expanses of Duncombe Park in the North York Moors National Park offering a very different kind of gravel event.
Focal Events, the expert team behind the Dirty Reiver, Frontier 300 and other gravel events around the UK, introduced the two-day Gravel Rocks earlier this year for its inaugural edition in 2024 - read about how Stuart got on at the event this summer.
The weekend of gravel racing and riding saw a few hundred visitors register and take on the event for the first time, setting the scene for what would prove to be a successful format and one that Focal Events founders Bryan and Neil could build on for year two, in 2025.
Build on it they have, and next year's second Gravel Rocks event looks to be even bigger and better than the first time around. The riding, once again, takes in the endless trails and pristine gravel tracks of around the estate and surrounding areas. Usually closed to the public, you'll have access to some enviable singletrack riding paired with stunning views and vistas along the way.
The race format remains simple, yet unique. There are seven timed race sections across the two days (with the exact locations not revealed until the event), beginning with two Friday night 'Gravel Rocks in the Dark' stages. It's a lights on, heads down occasion where you'll need your wits about you and your legs on as the first day's classifications are decided.

Gravel Rocks offers distances for all levels, blending competition with fun, all set to a weekend soundtrack of Rock 'n' Roll, a true celebration for everyone. A bustling event village hosts food and beverages throughout the weekend plus stands from event partners too, each bringing their own fun to the party.
Once you've finished pedalling it's time for the party, with live entertainment on both Friday and Saturday evenings, alongside a full range of catering for all the family.
The venue features a range of accommodation options on-site, with plenty of room for riders to remain and camp, with fresh water, showers and toilets all on-hand. Campervan/roof tent bookings are also available, then there's the 'Gravel Rocks Teepee Village' for those after a touch more luxury, with each unit featuring carpeting, bedding, lighting and beds.
Entries are now open for next summer's event, which kicks off on Friday 11th July before ending on Sunday 13th after a host of social rides cap off the weekend.
Race entry costs from £75 per person, with the organisers waiving all booking fees for entries made before 1st January 2025.
