The 3 Counties 100 Sportive has been designed to cover some of the best cycle routes (mostly single lane country roads) over 3 counties, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. Starting from the courtyard at Holdenby House, Elizabethan England’s greatest mansion and over the centuries a Royal Palace and prison, riders can load up with plenty of carbs from the mobile cafe and purchase essential items or have any last minute adjustments made to their bikes at Twenty3C bike stall before starting their 100 mile, 110km or 21 mile rides
The first 15 km, from Holdenby to Naseby, are covered by riders from all 3 routes. Here the 21km riders return to base along the beautiful country roads and villages. The 100 mile and 100km riders continue around Eyebrook reservoir and under the Welland Viaduct the second feed stop at Harringworth. Here riders can choose to complete 100 miles by turning left up to Rutland Water, or return to Holdenby on the 110km route
