Described by the organisers as 'probably the UK’s toughest sportive and without doubt the toughest in Wales.' Only 50 places are available for this event, which aims to come as close as possible to alpine events such as La Marmotte.
There is only one course distance, of 190km (118 miles) with a massive 4200m (13,800ft) of climbing. Be warned, there are steep gradients of 25% or above on several climbs leading organisers to bill the sportive as 'something to rip your legs off'.. The mixture of long climbs with steep gradients is what makes this such a challenge – as well as the distance.
Full route details and course maps will not be made public before entries are open. The course will head north from Llangadog, including a climb of the Devil’s Staircase and many more, less famous but equally challenging climbs.
