The King's Cup Gravel Festival has been cancelled after Forestry England increased their fees for hosting the event.

Organisers are finalising a new venue for 2025. In the meantime, the British Gravel Championships will now take place on Saturday 31 August as part of the Raiders Gravel cycling event in Gatehouse of Fleet, Scotland.

For further details on transferring entries and refunds please visit the King's Cup website at www.kingscupgravel.com.

Welcome to the King’s Cup, Britain’s ultimate gravel festival.

There’s no event like the King’s Cup Gravel Festival and our third year will be even better than the second.

For 2024 we return to the King’s Forest, near Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk with routes for everyone including the serious racer, recreational riders, gravel newbies and families.

And of course we host the British Gravel Championships.

Gravel Fondo - Sunday 15 September

There are two distances for the Gravel Fondo, 100km and 40km.

Gravel Race - Saturday 14 September

In the Gravel Race you can compete for the British Gravel Championships plus there’s a dedicated Masters Championship as well.

Fun rides

We also have a night ride aimed at families. All on fully marshalled courses.

The Festival happens between 13-15 September 2024. As well as our rides we’ll have live music, family activities, food stalls, a bar, camping and even glamping. There’ll be an expo where our event partners will show their products.

If you’re checking the wonderful world of gravel for the first time don’t worry, just bring your MTB, the mixed terrain in King’s Forest means those wide tyres certainly won’t be out of place.
