Extra Information

To kick off 2012 we make a welcome return to Chieveley with its superb choice for Sportive cycling, pretty villages and views. To the North we venture towards the Ridgeway, an ancient chalk ridge route used by prehistoric man. This Downlands Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts smashing views over the surrounding countryside. To the south, Walbury Hill adds to the spectacle and weather permitting we head to Streatley Hill. This is a popular haunt for riders as the climb starts with a gradual rise from the banks of the River Thames, to reach an approximate gradient of 16% in parts.
