Welcome to the first replica sportive based on the Professional Grand Prix road race held the day after.
The challenge matches the Pro event distance and at 132miles is one of the longest sportives in the UK, there are 2 shorter distances for all abilities, plus a family ride.

The ride will start and finish in the Market Square in Whittlesey, on the edge of the East Anglian fens, so a good test for all riders. There are many activities based in town and Raleigh Cycles are bringing their “Road Show” to add to the entertainment, excitement and support the riders and their families.

The rides will follow the pros route before deviating into the surrounding Cambridgeshire countryside and into the fens before picking up the pros route back into Whittlesey town centre for a well-earned evening.

All routes are fully signed and there will be 3 feeds and a drinks stop on the Grand Prix route and 2 and drinks on the Elite route. The “Come and Try” will have one stop.

All rides will have full mechanical support at the start and at various points along each route.

There will also be a broom wagon to help out more terminal breakdowns.

There’re are many hotels and B & B establishments so why not bring the family and make a weekend out of it. It is also planned to have camping available close by, allowing you the see the professionals the following day and those teams testing their fitness for the Commonwealth Games a week later.

This weekend is the 2nd biggest cycle event in Cambridgeshire just behind the Tour De France.
