The Great Dun Fell Cycle Sportive is brand new for 2014. Starting and finishing in the historic market town of Appleby the route takes participants on a scenic tour of the Eden Valley, edge of the Lake District and northern Pennines. It finishes with the iconic and revered 5 mile ascent to the Great Dun Fell Radar Station, at 2,700 feet the highest tarmac road in the UK.
