Due to the popularity of the Dawn Raid, it will be returning as part of Hero Ride once again! In keeping with the military tradition, the route will set off from the Help for Heroes run Recovery Centre at Tedworth House in Wiltshire, where wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women are helped with their recovery. This 100-mile sportive will take 250 riders through Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey to the iconic Box Hill, retracing the tracks of the London 2012 Olympic Road Race heroes, before taking a turn into south London and dropping to the meeting point at Blackheath Common before cycling into London with all the other Hero Riders!
The Hero Ride is our biggest demonstration of support for our wounded and a massive fundraising challenge! Through Hero Ride 2014, our aim is to raise £1.5million to support our wounded for life. The Dawn Raid Sportive (Tedworth House to London) is a key ride and by taking on this challenge, not only are you taking on a challenging sportive through the night, but through your fundraising efforts you are doing something really special to support our wounded.
