The Isle of Wight Randonnee is not a sportive, but a relaxed, family-friendly and increasingly popular bike ride taking in stunning coastal scenery on the Isle of Wight.
The course follows the permanently sign-posted Round The Island (RTI) cycle routes in a clockwise direction with a choice of 100km and 55km rides. The event starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm.
There is no entry fee, but registration is advisable and donations are welcome.
The IoW Randonnee was established by the Wayfarers in 1985 and uniquely follows a route around the whole of the Isle of Wight taking minor roads and lanes where possible enabling the rider to see and enjoy the best of the Island's scenery. The event attracts around 3000 participants each year.
The event remains free to enter with 2500 riders taking part in 2022. For 2024, 3000 places will be available.
