Now in its 3rd year this “hill climb” specific sportive is a real test for the legs!  We use the ridge line along the North Norfolk Coast to provide the hills for this event.

Starting from Holt Rugby Club  you head out to the coast and you are soon riding up your fiirst climb 'Bard Hill' with a maximum percentage of 9% you will be sure to be awake by the top of it.  With Bard Hill under your belt you are soon heading down in to Wiveton with a fast descent.  This is the most westerly point. It's now time to make a steady climb out of Wiveton. You will now be in the middle section of the ride with some hills coming in quick succession. Pheasant hill, Station hill with a section of 13%, Canefield Road hill, Woodland rise hill. finishing this section of hills you have the Category 4 climb (featured in the 2010 Tour of Britain) Sandy Lane Hill.. Once over the hill you descent back down to East Runton for the run along the coast. Don't forget to take in the views or chase the steam train if you have enough in the tank over to Weybourne where you will be met with the last hill of the loop, Holgate Hill. With sections of 9% you will be ready to fuel up at the well stocked feed-zone ready for another loop or to collect your event specific medal.

Upon completion of your effort, there will be many extras on site to ensure you have a fun memorable day, ranging from post event massage, food and drinks tent (all for a small charge) as well as an Event Specific Finishers Medal

All New for 2016 is our Pinewood ‘Mini’ Climbs route : with half the climbing of the Pinewood Climbs full course, this will be an easier ride specifically aimed at families and riders new to sportives and is definitely a great taster session if you’re looking to have a crack at the full hills route in due course. This particular route will head inland and ride some of the easier hills around Holt.
