The inaugural event was held in 2008 in memory of our very own Big G, Graeme Forrester and was generally very well received by nearly 300 riders who enjoyed the late summer sunshine and occasional heavy shower. We received some excellent feedback from the event that encouraged us to organise other events in 2009 and 2010, with the aim of increasing participation to 500 riders whilst maintaining (or improving) the organisation. We are still working up the fine details of the event and several factors are still provisional, however in order to keep you informed we have published as many known details as possible with the aim of confirming the rest as soon as possible. Three fully paint-marked routes are available 160 Km, 100 Km or 60 Km. All 3 routes have been chosen to take you through some of the best roads in this relatively undiscovered part of Yorkshire and feature stunning views of the surrounding valleys and vales, On a clear day both the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors are clearly visible from the numerous high points of the route.
