The Border Randonnee

The Border Randonnee is a road cycling event for anyone aged 18 and over.

The Border Randonnee is in perfect cycling countryside all the way, enjoying some Welsh hills and back roads. The event is aimed at cyclists of different abilities and E-bikes are welcome (just ensure that your battery is good for your chosen distance!)

The 62mile route could be longer for keen cyclists but quite a few ride out to the start and journey on after registering at Llandrinio. Both routes enjoy the same midpoint feed station. The 32 mile shorter route is a great for anyone new to cycling or looking to regain some fitness.

Whichever route, we have a great day planned for all our riders!

Date: Saturday 18th May 2024

Two Routes: Short -  32 miles with 1,744 ft of ascent. Long -  62 miles with 4,039 ft of ascent. 

Start / Finish: Llandrinio Village Hall, Preswylfa, Llandrinio, SY22 6SB   Free parking on site at rear of hall. If the car park is full riders may need to park away from the hall.

Entry and secure online payment: Via the website £25.00(inc. £1 booking fee)

Sign in on the day: Opens at 8.00 am       

Arrival: From 7.30am

Start Times: 62 miles from 8:15am.  32 miles from 8:45am.

Latest Start Time: 9.30am

Finish Time: Riders should aim to finish by 3.00pm

Refreshments: There will be Tea & Coffee available free at the Start.

At the Rhydycroesau checkpoint hot & cold drinks plus fruit and cake will be available.

Further refreshment will await you at the Finish.
