The Great Shakespeare Ride

The Great Shakespeare Ride offers something for all abilities. A 100 mile ‘Sportive’ on a challenging route incorporating 6 major climbs. A 100km ‘Challenge Ride’ incorporating 3 major climbs and a 25 mile ‘Leisure Ride’ for those who are new to the great world of the bike or simply want to enjoy a lovely day out in the sunshine with friends. Our aim is to make ‘The Great Shakespeare Ride’ the most successful cycling event in the Midlands and we really hope you will join us again this year and take those entries over the magic ‘1000’ number. The event is organised by The Shakespeare Hospice and all profits go this great local charity. We want the event to raise as much money as possible to help fund The Hospice’s care for those affected by serious illness. We encourage as many riders as possible to seek sponsorship however, we cannot expect all riders to do so and rest assured, whether you simply pay the entry fee or raise several hundred pounds, all riders will be treated to the same hospitality, freebies, refreshments and great features of The Great Shakespeare Ride.
