There are three rides making up the event. 30 miles, 60 miles and 100 miles.
All three of the routes have a number of categorised and signed climbs of varying length and severity. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty. Tough terrain for the cyclist is rewarded with good vantage points and excellent views of this rugged landscape.
All three of the rides are fully signposted with marshals at key points. The riders are electronically timed for each route. There is also technical assistance and a broom wagon should that be required. The three distances have a number of feed stations, three for the 100, at each feed food and drink will be provided.
The Polka Dot Challenge had a change of routes for 2013 which will offer previous participants a new angle on this event. It is one of the toughest sportives on the calendar and a memorable day out for all abilities is guaranteed.`
