The Rutland CiCLE Tour Sportif

The CiCLE Classic elite race is billed as ‘Britain’s Belgium Classic’ - and the CiCLE Tour Sportive won’t disappoint as it follows much of the elite race route, including the pavé sectors.

Velo29 are the brand new event management team for the CiCLE Tour in 2020 and have worked with the CiCLE Classic and GIANT Store Rutland teams to align our visions and bring you a SUPER spring classics sportive that will soon become a must-do in the calendar.

The CiCLE Tour Sportive route will use the same roads as the elite race as much as possible.

All the routes are amazing and use quiet roads and tracks around the stunning Rutland Water and small villages heading to Melton Mowbray.

With an ultra-fast registration system, superb signage, first-class feed stations, full medical & mechanical support as well as recovery this will be one event that you will have to do.

Like the CiCLE Classic elite race the CiCLE Tour Sportif features ‘pavé’ (rough terrain) sectors
Each pavé sector will have mechanical support at the end incase you get into difficulty and each pavé sector is optional and a diversion route will be signed

The CiCLE Classic goes over the same sectors several times; the CiCLE Tour Sportif will just make one pass of each sector of ‘pavé’.
