In August 2024, a group of 64 international cyclists will be the first ever to cycle across Greenland. We call it Coast to Coast 2024. Greenland, the world's largest island, is located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans and 80% is covered by up to 3000 meter thick ice.
To ride your bike the 550 km across this huge Ice cap, is really the "Tour de Ice". We will use 7 to 9 days on this epic event.
Crossing of the Ice cap of Greenland has been done many times, but only on skis. The first time was by Fridtjof Nansen in 1888, the organizer was the youngest ever when he was crossing in 1984.
Even on skis, crossing Greenland it an epic adventure and a hard and tough one, and everyone who meets the challenge is a winner.

Extra Information
We are croosing the Greenland Icecap. 3 cyclist have tried but nobody suceeded. We have previus arranged ski competitions acroos Greenland and have high experience in this sort of weather conditions. A staff of 10 persosns with high skill about arctic will assist on the who tour. Several ATVs and snowmobiles with sledges will transport most of the gear, like tent food, fuel etc.
Specail fatbikes and all equiment will be made avaliable for participants.
